Discover Bristol, a

This site was developed as an online companion to the printed Discover Bristol booklet produced by East Bay Newspapers. The purpose of the site and the book was to provide tourism-related information for the town of Bristol, Rhode Island. The site needed to facilitate regular updates by newspaper staff as listings change. The finished site utilizes ColdFusion to generate HTML pages dynamically from content stored in a database. A browser-based interface provides easy administrative updates. The site also incorporates a database-driven advertising component to provide space for rotating ads within each section.
